Write it. Shoot it. Publish it. Crochet it, sauté it, whatever. MAKE.

Linnéa, please tell me you’ve seen this Joss Whedon speech (especially since I found it as a result of looking up something from a link you posted somewhere).
I love this song. I watched Commentary! The Musical on Wednesday and I’ve had this stuck in my head ever since. This version is slightly different from the version on the DVD, but I’m putting this up because Joss Whedon and Ira Glass together! My head is exploding!
My admiration for this man is immense & intense.
KW: So, crafty people often feel like they have to let their materials behave and become what they want to be, even if it’s not what we had in mind to begin with. Do you feel that’s somewhat similar sometimes in how you write characters and plot lines?
JW: You’re going to need to meet the materials halfway. Yes, you definitely want every skein of yarn to do exactly what you have in mind, but they never will. And that’s part of what makes it beautiful. That’s part of what makes it not working in a factory. And every actor is going to bring something to the party, and I’m going to embrace what they’re bringing as fucking hard as I can as long as it doesn’t hurt the narrative, so that it becomes something more than just an idea I had that somebody acted out. You have to remember that if the thing isn’t slightly out of control, it ain’t art. Or [muffled] craft.
KW: What do you see as the difference between arts and craft, or do you?
JW: Honestly, it really is that little chaos factor. It’s when the thing starts talking back to you. When you come up with something that is a little bit more than just a good reproduction of what was in the book, and somehow reflects you in a way that you didn’t understand yourself: that’s art.

…which title, I believe, speaks for itself
(recommended by Linnéa)
I want there to be a TV show about cryptozoology. Not necessarily anything outside the natural world, nothing magical, just all those mysterious animals that give rise to legends the world over. And alright, maybe we’d throw in a few beasts that aren’t quite as mythical as you thought. There would be a team of biologists/wranglers who investigate reports and hunt down these creatures. Only they don’t hunt to kill, just to tranquilize & tag them and try to understand them. For the love of all planetary life. Their headquarters is Noah’s Ark - yeah, the original - and after each expedition they take DNA samples back there to keep in cryostasis. In the Ark, there are niches for every species that ever existed, and the responsibility of conservation has been passed down through the ages. But the collection is still incomplete, and it’s a race against extinction. Yes, the villains would often be humans, but so would the heroes. Because the thematic question of the entire show would be, what does benevolent dominion look like, over against ecological tyranny?
Directed by Joss Whedon, of course.
Also, just in case. This idea belong to me, so you’d better not use it without my permission.
Edit: Wait! Felicia Day says it’s Joss Whedon’s birthday today! Fate? Destiny? Coincidence, even? I think so!
